The history of Primo dates back to 1959, when the company was founded by Chr. Jensen. A year earlier, he purchased his first extruder at a trade fair in England, after which Primo-Plast A\/S was established in Tistrup, Denmark. This remains an important production site for the group.<\/p>\n
In 1977, Fleming Grunnet took over the company and developed it further into an international organisation. In 2000, the Inter Primo Group was established with its headquarters in Copenhagen. In 2019, Essentra Extrusion was acquired and became part of the group, operating under the brand name Enitor Primo, with Primo Netherlands B.V. as the legal entity.
